student bookstore, it's a movement. A movement towards fairer textbook prices, and a
movement for students to take back control over our own textbooks. After all, if we're
required to buy textbooks every year, shouldn't the customers have a say? Stay tuned to

Earn Shinerama Dollars
September 2005
Haven Books is supporting the Carleton Frosh Week Shinerama drive this year! Shinerama is Canada's
largest post-secondary school fundraising program, and results in thousands raised each year for
the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Society. In support of
student efforts to raise money for this cause, Haven Books will donate $1 to your Shinerama drive
for each of your group's Frosh that comes to Haven Books. To collect, just show up with your Frosh
Group at the store and we will donate $1 for each of your groups' Frosh that are present on the spot.
Groups can only participate once, and a group Head or AssHead must be present to collect. But there's
thousands of Frosh, so make sure to come on down - we're only 1 block off campus!

Haven Books Moves Closer to Campus!
August 2003
Here we grow again: effective August 2003 Haven Books has outgrown our old store and moved to a
new location at 43 Senenca Street (at Seneca & Sunnyside). The larger location is less than a 5 minute
walk from campus, and the move was necessary due to the increasing number of students selling their
books at the store. We can now offer a much larger & convenient space to buy & sell your books. If you
haven't yet, come and check out the new shop.
